More Details on Our Top Picks
LENSGO 9.7” Teleprompter for Camera, iPad, Tablet, Smartphone with Remote Control, APP Compatible with iOS & Android
The LENSGO 9.7” Teleprompter stands out for its high-definition glass that delivers crisp, clear script reflection, making it ideal for a variety of content creators. Compared to the Glide Gear TMP 100, it offers greater portability thanks to its foldable design, although setup can be slightly more complex. Its compatibility with smartphones, tablets, and cameras across iOS and Android broadens its usefulness, but it relies on app updates for optimal performance, which could cause delays. The remote control feature simplifies script management during live sessions, a clear advantage over less integrated options. While the 9.7-inch display suits most smartphones and smaller tablets, it isn’t designed for larger devices like iPad Pro. This model makes the most sense for creators seeking a portable, all-in-one solution with remote control, but those with larger tablets might want to consider more spacious options.
Pros:- High-definition glass provides sharp, clear reflection for easy reading
- Supports a wide range of devices and systems, including smartphones, tablets, and cameras
- Foldable design offers excellent portability and quick setup
- Includes remote control for effortless script management
Cons:- Requires frequent app updates for optimal performance
- Limited compatibility with tablets larger than 9.7 inches
- Setup instructions can be complex for some users
Best for: Content creators who need a portable, versatile teleprompter for smartphones and small tablets with remote control capabilities
Not ideal for: Users with large tablets like iPad Pro or those preferring a plug-and-play experience without app reliance
- Display Size:9.7 inches
- Compatibility:Smartphones, tablets, cameras
- System Compatibility:iOS & Android
- Foldable:Yes
- Supports Wide Angle Lens:17mm
- Includes:Cold shoes, camera lens rings, remote control
Our verdict“This teleprompter suits creators wanting a portable, versatile device with remote control for smartphones and small tablets but less ideal for larger screens.”
Ambitful 7.5” Mini Teleprompter with Desktop Tripod for Smartphone & DSLR
The Ambitful 7.5” Mini Teleprompter makes a compelling choice for creators seeking a lightweight, portable setup. Its small 7.5-inch screen is less suitable for detailed reading or larger scripts but excels in tight spaces or quick setups. The included Bluetooth remote and customizable app facilitate easy control, similar to the LENSGO but on a smaller scale, making it perfect for mobile storytelling. Unlike the Glide Gear TMP 100, it’s more compact but offers less versatility in device size, supporting only smartphones and compact cameras. Its lightweight design at just over a kilogram enhances portability, yet the small screen size limits long-form or complex scripting. This pick is ideal for vloggers and live streamers who prioritize mobility and simplicity but may not suit those needing larger displays for detailed scripts.
Pros:- Compact, lightweight design for easy portability
- Supports a wide range of smartphones and compact cameras
- Includes Bluetooth remote control and customization app
- Quick setup ideal for mobile use
Cons:- Limited to smaller screens, not suitable for tablets or larger devices
- Small display size may hinder reading lengthy scripts
- No dedicated power source info, potentially affecting usage duration
Best for: Vloggers and mobile content creators needing a portable, easy-to-setup teleprompter for smartphones and compact cameras
Not ideal for: Producers needing a larger display for detailed scripts or for use with tablets and larger devices
- Screen Size:7.5 inches
- Weight:1.09 kg
- Dimensions:3.94″D x 7.48″W x 7.48″H
- Compatibility:Smartphones, DSLR cameras
- Adapter Rings:49-77mm
- Remote Control:Bluetooth
Our verdict“This mini teleprompter is best suited for creators on the move needing a compact, easy-to-use device for smartphones and small cameras, but not for detailed or lengthy scripts.”
Glide Gear TMP 100 Teleprompter – Compatible with DSLR, Tablet, Smartphone – 12″ Glass, Carry Case
The Glide Gear TMP 100 offers a robust, professional-grade solution with a 12-inch beam splitter glass that ensures sharp reflection and clarity. Its wide device compatibility includes smartphones and tablets up to 10.5″ x 8″, but it falls short for larger tablets like the iPad Pro, which limits its use for some professionals. Its collapsible design enhances portability, and the versatile mounting options support various camera setups, making it suitable for semi-professional and studio use. Unlike the NEEWER X12, it lacks included app control but benefits from a more straightforward setup process for users familiar with teleprompter apps. This model is perfect for users needing high-quality reflection and portable professional features but less so for those with larger or specific device constraints.
Pros:- Large 12-inch beam splitter glass delivers sharp, clear reflection
- Supports a wide variety of smartphones and tablets up to 10.5″ x 8″
- Portable, collapsible design with included carry case
- Versatile mounting options for accessories
Cons:- Does not fit the largest tablets like iPad Pro models
- Requires separate teleprompter app, adding setup complexity
- Limited instructions for setup may challenge some users
Best for: Semi-professional videographers and presenters who need a portable, durable teleprompter for smartphones and smaller tablets
Not ideal for: Professionals using iPad Pro or larger tablets, or those requiring built-in app controls
- Device Compatibility:Smartphones and tablets up to 10.5″ x 8″
- Glass:12″ beam splitter

Our verdict“Ideal for semi-professional users seeking a durable, portable teleprompter for smartphones and smaller tablets, but not suited for large tablets like iPad Pro.”
NEEWER X12 14 Inch Aluminum Alloy Teleprompter for iPad, Tablet, Phone, Camera
The NEEWER X12 stands out for its generous 14-inch display, making it a strong choice for those who need larger, easier-to-read scripts. Its high-quality beam splitter glass with 75% light transmittance offers excellent clarity, rivaling the Glide Gear TMP 100, but with the added benefit of a larger viewing area. The lightweight aluminum alloy construction ensures portability, and the remote control simplifies operation, comparable to the NEEWER X11. However, it’s not compatible with iPad Pro 12-inch models, and its focal length requirement limits certain lenses, which could affect flexibility. The setup process involves some assembly, which might challenge users unfamiliar with teleprompters. This model is best for professionals or educators who prioritize a larger display without sacrificing portability, but not for those with larger or specific device needs.
Pros:- Large 14-inch display improves readability for scripts
- High light transmittance beam splitter glass ensures clear reflection
- Lightweight, durable aluminum alloy construction for portability
- Supports smart control via remote and app
Cons:- Not compatible with 12-inch iPad Pro models
- Requires setup and assembly, which may be time-consuming

- Remote Control:RT-110
- App Compatibility:iOS 11.0+ / Android 6.0+
- Weight:Lightweight
Our verdict“This large-screen teleprompter is a solid pick for users needing bigger text displays on smartphones and standard tablets, but it’s less suited for larger tablets like iPad Pro.”
Desview T3 Teleprompter for Camera & Smartphone with Bluetooth Remote
The Desview T3 offers impressive flexibility with support for smartphones and tablets up to 10 inches, making it ideal for diverse filming setups. Its high-quality 70/30 beam splitter glass with 97% light transmittance ensures clear, ghost-free scripts, comparable to premium options like the NEEWER X12 but at a more accessible price point. The broad range of adapter rings and focal length support makes it suitable for various camera lenses, with the added convenience of Bluetooth remote control and free app compatibility. However, its stability may waver on lightweight tripods, and it doesn’t support larger tablets like the 12.9-inch iPad, limiting its use for extended scripts. This model is perfect for creators needing a versatile, portable teleprompter for smartphones and small tablets, especially in mobile or studio settings.
Pros:- Supports a wide range of smartphones and tablets up to 10 inches
- High-quality optical glass for clear, ghost-free reflection
- Includes multiple adapter rings for compatibility with various lenses

- Adapter Rings:49/52/55/58/62/67/72/77/82mm
- Lens Support:Focal length of 24mm or greater
- Glass Type:70/30 Beam Splitter
- Remote:Bluetooth
- App Compatibility:iOS and Android
Our verdict“This versatile teleprompter excels for mobile creators needing support for multiple small devices but isn’t suitable for larger tablets or heavy-duty studio use.”
9.3-inch Teleprompter for Phone and Camera with App & Bluetooth Remote
This teleprompter stands out for its high-quality optical glass, providing crisp text reflection while maintaining camera visibility, a crucial feature compared to the smaller LENSGO TC7S, which offers portability but less clarity. Its quick 2-minute setup makes it ideal for fast-paced shooting environments, and the wireless remote adds convenience. However, the limited 9.3-inch size might not suit larger smartphones or tablets, and the remote range could be restrictive for some users. Compared to larger models like the NEEWER X11, this option excels in portability but sacrifices screen space. It’s perfect for vloggers and live streamers who prioritize ease of use and quality in a compact form.
Pros:- High-quality optical glass ensures clear text reflection and camera visibility
- Quick setup in about 2 minutes minimizes downtime
- Wireless remote control supports hands-free operation
- Compatible with smartphones and DSLR/mirrorless cameras
Cons:- Limited to 9.3 inches, restricting larger devices
- Remote control range up to 10 meters may be limiting for some setups
Best for: Content creators who need a portable, easy-to-set-up teleprompter with good image clarity for smartphones and compact cameras.
Not ideal for: Users with larger smartphones or tablets, or those needing a wider viewing area for complex scripts, as the 9.3-inch size may feel restrictive.
- Beam-Splitter Glass:70/30
- Compatibility:Smartphones, DSLR, mirrorless
- Setup Time:Approximately 2 minutes
- Remote Control Range:Up to 10 meters
Our verdict“This model suits vloggers and streamers seeking a compact, high-quality teleprompter for smartphones and small cameras.”
NEEWER X11 2-in-1 Teleprompter with 11-Inch Monitor and Screen Mirroring
The NEEWER X11’s 11-inch HD LCD monitor makes it a clear upgrade over smaller teleprompters like the LENSGO TC7S, especially for users who need larger text and better screen visibility. Its support for multiple ports—USB C, HDMI, USB A—enables seamless connection to computers, smartphones, and cameras, making it a versatile choice for professional environments. The adjustable holder and wide focal length (35-200 mm) support various camera setups, but the need for driver installation can be a hassle, and external monitor setup requires some technical know-how. Unlike the SmallRig, which is more portable but less feature-rich, the X11 favors flexibility and larger display, ideal for studio settings or serious production work.
Pros:- Large 11-inch HD LCD monitor with screen mirroring for enhanced visibility
- Multiple connectivity options support diverse device setups
- Adjustable holder and focal length accommodate various lenses and cameras
- Supports live streaming, video conferencing, and professional recording
Cons:- Requires driver installation, adding setup time
- External monitor configuration might be complex for some users
- Not as portable as smaller models like the LENSGO TC7S
Best for: Professional videographers and streamers who require a larger, detailed screen and flexible connectivity options for complex setups.
Not ideal for: Casual users or mobile vloggers who prefer lightweight, straightforward devices, as the setup complexity and size may be overkill.
- Monitor Size:11 inches
- Resolution:1024 x 768
- Weight Support:2 kg
- Connectivity:USB C, HDMI, USB A
- Compatibility:Windows, macOS, iPhone, Android
- Warranty:1 year
Our verdict“This teleprompter is ideal for professionals seeking a large display and flexible connections for studio-quality recordings.”
SmallRig Teleprompter for iPad and Tablets up to 11 Inches
The SmallRig Teleprompter excels for users who primarily shoot with tablets, especially for video conferences and livestreams, thanks to its support for tablets up to 11 inches. Its modular design and app control via SmallGoGo make script editing straightforward, but it falls short for smartphone users or larger tablets, which are incompatible. Compared to the LENSGO TC7S, it offers a more stable platform for tablets but requires a separate purchase of the support system, adding to the overall cost. Its limited size makes it less suitable for those who need to work with bigger devices or mobile setups that include smartphones.
Pros:- Supports tablets up to 11 inches, ideal for iPads and similar devices
- App-based text control simplifies script management
- Modular design allows quick setup and maintenance
- Includes top flag, filter adapter, and quick-release lens hood
Cons:- Not compatible with smartphones, limiting versatility
- Requires purchase of separate support system (15mm LWS baseplate)
- Size limit excludes larger tablets or multi-device setups
Best for: Professionals and educators using tablets for streaming, presentations, or remote conferencing who need a stable, customizable setup.
Not ideal for: Mobile vloggers or content creators needing a lightweight, all-in-one solution for smartphones, as it doesn’t support devices smaller than 11 inches or smartphones directly.
- Compatibility:iPad and tablets up to 11 inches
- Lens Compatibility:49mm–95mm diameter
- App Support:SmallGoGo
- Requires:15mm LWS baseplate
- Additional Features:Top flag, filter adapter
Our verdict“This teleprompter suits professionals who rely on tablets for scripted presentations and prefer modular, stable setups.”
LENSGO TC7S Portable Teleprompter for Phone, 9.7-inch Foldable Mini Teleprompter with Remote Control, App Compatible with iPhone & Android
The LENSGO TC7S offers a compact and foldable design that makes it highly portable for mobile content creators, outperforming bulkier models like the NEEWER X11 in everyday portability. Its 9.7-inch high-definition glass ensures clear script display, and the Bluetooth remote facilitates easy script control. However, the necessity to download and set up the app can be a hurdle for some, and the device compatibility limits tablets above 8 inches, making it less suitable for larger screen needs.
Pros:- Foldable design for excellent portability and storage
- High-definition glass provides clear script display
- Bluetooth remote control for convenient operation
- Universal compatibility with iPhone and Android
Cons:- Requires app download and setup, which may be inconvenient
- Limited to devices below 8 inches for tablets
Best for: Vloggers and mobile streamers who need a lightweight, foldable teleprompter that works smoothly with smartphones and small tablets.
Not ideal for: Users requiring larger screens or professional studio setups, as the 9.7-inch size and app setup might feel restrictive.
- Screen Size:9.7 inches
- Foldable:Yes, 1-second fold
- Compatibility:iPhone, Android, tablets below 8 inches
- Remote Control:Yes
- Included Accessories:Phone shade, clip, remote, box
- Warranty:1 year
Our verdict“This model is perfect for on-the-go creators seeking a compact, easy-to-use teleprompter for smartphones and small devices.”

Its coated glass ensures sharp, clear text and high-quality footage, while the included adapter rings simplify setup for various lens sizes. Our verdict“This teleprompter is ideal for professionals needing a multi-device compatible solution for diverse recording scenarios.”
Desview T3 Portable Teleprompter for Camera & Smartphone, Tablet Prompter for iPad up to 10 inches
The Desview T3 stands out for its wide compatibility with DSLR, mirrorless cameras, smartphones, and tablets up to 10 inches, making it an excellent choice for professionals who need flexibility across devices. Its high-quality beam splitter glass delivers clear script reading with minimal distortion, outperforming basic models that often compromise clarity. Compared with the GVM 12-inch, the T3’s support for larger camera setups makes it more adaptable, though it’s less suitable for larger tablets. The included Bluetooth remote and smartphone app facilitate hands-free control, a feature missing in simpler options like the NEEWER X12B. The main tradeoff is its limited device size support—if you want to use bigger tablets, this model won’t suffice. Overall, this teleprompter is ideal for serious content creators seeking professional-grade versatility in a portable package.
Pros:- Supports a wide range of cameras and devices with multiple adapters
- High-quality beam splitter glass ensures clear script reading
- Includes Bluetooth remote and smartphone app for hands-free operation

- Setup instructions can be unclear for some users
- Limited to devices up to 10 inches, not suitable for larger tablets
Best for: Professional videographers and streamers needing support for multiple camera types and tablets up to 10 inches.
Not ideal for: Casual users or those working primarily with larger tablets or smartphones over 10 inches, as they will find this setup restrictive.
- Beam Splitter Glass:70/30
- Adapter Rings:49/52/55/58/62/67/72/77/82 mm
- Supported Devices:DSLR, mirrorless cameras, smartphones, tablets up to 10 inches
- Reading Distance:10 ft
- Remote Control:Bluetooth remote included
- Material:Anti-reflection coated glass, durable construction

Our verdict“This teleprompter offers excellent versatility for professional content creators with multiple device needs, provided their tablets are within size limits.”
NEEWER Basics X12B Aluminum Alloy Teleprompter 12″ for iPad, Tablet, DSLR Camera, Bluetooth Remote & App Control, Black
The NEEWER X12B offers a compelling balance between affordability and functionality, with a sturdy aluminum alloy build and a 12-inch HD display that provides crisp visuals. Its no-assembly design simplifies setup, making it a strong candidate for beginners or those who want quick deployment. Unlike the GVM 12-inch, which supports larger devices, the X12B is better suited for iPads and smaller tablets, but it’s less adaptable to larger screens. The Bluetooth remote and app control provide convenient operation, yet it doesn’t support phones directly, unlike the GVM model that works well with multiple device types. The main drawback is its incompatibility with phones, limiting its flexibility for mobile-only users. This pick makes the most sense for users who want a straightforward, durable, and cost-effective teleprompter for tablets and cameras.
Pros:- Lightweight and durable aluminum alloy construction
- No-assembly design for quick setup
- Bluetooth remote control and app compatibility for convenience
Cons:- Not suitable for phone shooting
- Does not function as a monitor or self-view display
- Remote requires AAA batteries (not included)
Best for: Beginner content creators or educators seeking a reliable, easy-to-use teleprompter for iPads and tablets up to 12 inches.
Not ideal for: Mobile journalists or vloggers who primarily shoot with smartphones, as this model does not support phone screens directly.
- Screen Size:12 inches
- Material:Aluminum alloy
- Display Type:HD
- Compatibility:iOS, Android
- Remote Control:Yes (RT113)
- Foldable:Yes
Our verdict“This teleprompter provides a straightforward, affordable solution for tablet-based recording and streaming, especially for beginners.”
Elgato Prompter with Built-in Screen and 1080p Full HD Resolution
The Elgato Prompter excels in delivering a high-quality 9-inch 1080p display directly integrated into the device, making it ideal for streamers and professionals who need a compact, integrated solution. Its built-in screen, combined with easy USB-C connectivity to PCs and Macs, simplifies setup compared to external monitor-based options like the GVM or Desview. However, unlike the Desview T3, which supports larger devices and more camera types, the Elgato is limited to smaller camera setups and lacks support for larger tablets. Its focus on desktop use means it’s less portable and flexible for on-the-go shooting. The software customization offers a tailored experience, but the need for configuration and software installs may deter less tech-savvy users. This makes it perfect for dedicated streamers who want a seamless, integrated pro-level teleprompter for desktop use.
Pros:- High-quality 1080p Full HD built-in display
- Easy USB-C connection to computers
- Supports customizable software for script management
Cons:- Requires software installation and setup
- Limited to small camera setups—less suitable for larger cameras
- Not water-resistant or portable for field use
Best for: Streamers and video conference professionals using PCs or Macs who prefer an all-in-one, high-resolution display.

- Display:9 inches, 1024 x 600 px
- Interface:USB-C
- Dimensions:224 x 219 x 282 mm
- Weight:690 g
- System Requirements:Windows 10, macOS 11

GVM 12-Inch Teleprompter for iPad, Tablet, Phone, DSLR Camera
The GVM 12-inch combines a collapsible design with a high-quality optical glass, supporting a broad range of devices including iPads, smartphones, and DSLR cameras. Its compatibility with various device sizes—up to 8.6 inches in width—makes it suitable for users who want a single setup for multiple device types. The wireless remote and app control enhance usability during recordings or live streams, offering more freedom than wired alternatives like the Desview T3. Compared to the NEEWER X12B, the GVM supports larger tablets and smartphones, but it requires a tripod for mounting, adding setup complexity. Its foldable design offers portability, but the device size limit could restrict use with very large tablets or smartphones. Overall, this teleprompter balances flexibility and ease of use for mobile and DSLR users alike.
Pros:- Easy to set up with no assembly required
- High-quality optical glass provides clear reflection
- Wireless remote control and app support for enhanced usability
Cons:- Limited to devices up to 8.6 inches in width

Factors to Consider When Choosing Teleprompters For Smartphones And Tablets
Choosing the right teleprompter involves more than just size or price. It’s important to consider how it integrates with your device, its ease of use, and whether it fits your recording environment. A good teleprompter should provide clear, readable text without causing delays or distractions during filming. Understanding these factors can prevent costly mistakes and ensure your setup enhances your video quality.Device Compatibility and Size
Ensure the teleprompter supports your smartphone or tablet size. Some models are optimized for specific device dimensions, which can affect readability and mounting stability. If you plan to switch devices frequently, look for adjustable or universal mounts. Remember, larger screens provide easier reading but may reduce portability, so balance size with your filming environment and mobility needs.
Remote Control and App Integration
Remote controls and app compatibility can streamline your recording process, allowing you to start, stop, or scroll text hands-free. However, some remotes are less reliable or have limited range, which might cause frustration. Check if the teleprompter’s app is user-friendly and compatible with your device’s operating system. A well-integrated remote or app can significantly improve your workflow, especially during longer shoots.
Build Quality and Glass Clarity
The durability of the teleprompter’s frame and quality of the glass are key to long-term use. Higher-quality glass provides clearer, more comfortable reading, reducing eye strain and distortion. Conversely, cheaper models may have scratches or less transparent glass that hampers readability. Investing in better optics can make a noticeable difference in your confidence and professionalism on camera.
Portability and Setup
If you film on the move, look for lightweight, foldable models that are quick to assemble and pack away. Larger units often require more setup time and space, making them less suitable for spontaneous shoots. Consider whether you need a dedicated tripod mount or if the teleprompter can attach directly to your camera or phone. Ease of transport and rapid setup are vital for dynamic shooting environments.
Price and Long-Term Value
While budget models may seem appealing, they often lack durability or advanced features. Conversely, premium options tend to offer better optics, remote functionality, and build quality, which can justify the higher cost. Think about your typical usage—if you record frequently or professionally, investing in a higher-end model could save money in the long run. For casual users, more affordable options still provide decent performance without breaking the bank.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will a smartphone teleprompter work with my tablet?
Many teleprompters designed for smartphones are adjustable or compatible with tablets up to a certain size. Check the maximum supported device dimensions before purchasing. Some models feature adjustable mounts that can accommodate both small phones and larger tablets, making them versatile options. If you frequently switch between devices, look for a model that explicitly states compatibility with tablets to avoid frustration during setup.
How important is glass quality in a teleprompter?
Glass quality directly impacts readability, clarity, and overall filming quality. Higher-quality glass provides a clearer, more natural view of your script, reducing distortion and eye strain. Cheaper glass may have scratches, fogging, or distortions that distract both you and your viewers. Investing in a teleprompter with premium glass ensures a professional appearance and smoother delivery on camera.
Can I use a teleprompter with my DSLR and smartphone at the same time?
Some models support multiple device types and can be used with both DSLR cameras and smartphones, but not necessarily simultaneously. Check each product’s compatibility features; many are designed to switch easily between devices. Using a teleprompter with a DSLR usually requires a larger, more stable setup, while smartphones are more portable. Confirm the mounting options and remote controls are suitable for your intended device combination.
Is a foldable or portable teleprompter worth it for mobile shoots?
Absolutely, foldable and lightweight teleprompters are ideal for on-location filming or quick setups. They typically weigh less and are easier to carry, allowing you to set up rapidly without sacrificing too much screen size or functionality. However, some portable models may compromise on optical quality or stability. Balance portability with features like adjustable mounting and clear glass to find the best option for your mobile needs.
Should I prioritize features over price when choosing a teleprompter?
While budget is an important consideration, prioritizing features that enhance your filming experience can yield better results. For instance, remote control, app compatibility, and glass quality often justify higher prices. Cheaper models might save money upfront but could require upgrades sooner if they lack durability or ease of use. Consider your shooting frequency and professional needs to determine whether investing in higher-end features makes sense for your situation.
Conclusion
For casual content creators or those just starting out, the Ambitful Mini Teleprompter provides a compact and affordable solution that’s easy to use. Professionals or frequent users should consider the Glide Gear TMP 100 for its robust construction and compatibility with DSLR setups. If you need a versatile, high-quality option with premium optics, the Elgato Prompter offers excellent resolution and features, though at a higher price point. Budget-conscious buyers should focus on models with reliable app support and sturdy mounts, while those seeking ease of use might prioritize remote controls and portability. Ultimately, your choice should align with your device compatibility, filming environment, and budget.
